Would you not just be better making a charity donation, that can be sourced locally, as opposed to carting stuff halfway round the world, and the carbon footprint of that.My children's school in the UK collects all manner of toys, tinned food, clothing and other crap and aggregates it with other schools in the area and packs a shipping container to send to Honduras. Surely just providing the money, and sourcing more locally like in Mexico, USA and shipping a few hundred miles, instead of 4,000 miles would be an efficient use of resources, and they would get stuff local NGO's practically need, as opposed to masses of randon crap being ejected from your Westernised home. ?
